In addition to the plethora of championship rings on his fingers, University of Kansas basketball coach Bill Self is adding another valuable piece of hardware to his wrist, too.
Last week, Niall CEO and co-founder Michael Wilson hand-delivered the legendary coach’s new wrist-wear, a Deep Blue Niall One, to his office in Lawrence, Kansas. Self first wore the timepiece in the Jayhawks’ victory over Harvard on Saturday.
Wilson says his company sees a reflection of its own mission in Self’s successes, both on the court, where he has won a National Championship to go along with his 11 straight Big 12 titles, and off the court, with the Bill Self Assist Foundation, a fundraising conduit to help give underprivileged children access to better lives.
“Coach Self exemplifies what it means to be all in,” Wilson said. “We’re honored to gift a timepiece to a man who has etched out his own legacy in such a historic program while still maintaining his integrity, something that Niall strives to do each day.”
Self is one of the first to don this iteration of the Niall One, which now features a sub-second dial and a slew of other color options.
